Welcome from the Principal

It is an honor to be the Principal of GIS The International School of Monza and thank you for taking the time to view our website. We hope it reflects the importance we place on an international education whilst keeping the family feel at the heart of what we do. It is a privilege to be a part of a school group which puts the child at the centre; GIS schools are committed to developing well rounded multilingual citizens who have the necessary knowledge and skills to thrive in a complext and ever changing world.

GIS is very proud to have received certification as an IB World PYP School – we are not just a school where students come to learn English. As a PYP school we support students on a journey towards becoming internationally minded and this is achieved through a transdisciplinary and global curriculum with strong academic rigour. PYP students learn to be critical thinkers and inquiring life-long learners who are empowered to become active members of their community.

GIS Monza is going into its fourth year of operation and this year opens its doors to PY4 students. It makes me very proud to see our school growing and expanding and considering the size of the school, we are proud to have staff from 10 different countries and 24 languages spoken within our school community. We embrace this multicultural dimension and celebrate it through a well-rounded curriculum and theme weeks which provoke critical thinking about the world arund us.

If you are unable to visit GIS Monza in person, I would suggest browsing our Instagram, LinkedIn or Facebook pages and you can find many parent videos on our school YouTube channel. These give you up to date information about events happening at GIS Monza. If you are able to visit Monza, I would be delighted to welcome you to the school and to introduce you to the incredible team of educators who make GIS such a special place to be. If you happen to be in Brazil, my colleague Mr. Rodrigo Souza would be happy to share our GIS SP Campus with you.

As Malala says, “one child, one teacher, one pen, and one book can change the world.” We hope that our work at GIS lives up to this statement and that GIS students really to feel empowered to reach their dreams.
